Welcome to the practice of Tammy Word, a dedicated and board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Tammy is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care, addressing the unique needs of each individual.
Tammy Word has pursued advanced education and training in psychiatric-mental health nursing, earning her APRN and PMHNP-BC credentials. With a solid foundation in nursing and specialized expertise in mental health, Tammy brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice.
As a PMHNP, Tammy is qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions across the lifespan. This includes but is not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Tammy believes in a patient-centered approach, actively involving individuals in their treatment decisions. She fosters a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and open communication to create a supportive and healing environment.
